Benoit Lab Hosts 2nd Annual Alex's Lemonade Stand Fundraiser

Recently  received the Young Investigator Award from the  for a grant developing new treatments for childhood leukemia. To give back, Benoit and the  held their 2nd annual lemonade stand fundraiser at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Public Market and the Brighton Farmers' Market over the weekend of June 11. Last year the lab raised $865, and Dr. Benoit had hoped to raise $1,000 this year. But when that goal was meet earlier than expected, Dr. Benoit challenged the lab to higher stakes - raising the goal to $2,000. Urging friends, family, and colleagues to contribute in person and online as well as furnishing over 20 gallons of lemonade at the markets, the lab has raised $2020.53 for ALSF.

The lemonade stands are fantastic. They give us a unique opportunity to educate the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ area about our research at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ as well as the mission ofALSF.
